“Tardeo” in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria
One of the best places to experience tardeo is Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Here, the locals have adapted the concept to their own identity, renaming it “palmeo.” From 5:00 PM onwards, different spots across Vegueta, Santa Catalina and Las Canteras come alive with good vibes to welcome hundreds of friends and families.
The goal is to take advantage of the good weather to have a “jolgorio” (party) and enjoy the best Canarian drinks and tapas to the sounds of “isas,” “malagueñas”, and “folías”, traditional forms of Canarian folk music.
